Checking Inn

The whirlwind return from a long adventure continues and here we are in mid-October.  This latest Chronicles update is brief.  Regrettably I had an accident at the end of September and my beloved motorcycle looks like it is a writeoff.  Go figure. I travel 10,150 miles without incident and get cutoff in a traffic circle two miles from home. Fortunately, I am not hurt and once again I swear by the motto of All The Gear, All The Time (ATGATT).  I am out shopping for another motorcycle and hopefully will be back riding before the snow falls!

Replica of Capitan America from EasyRider. Fun fact: Peter Fonda wrote the movie on September 27, 1967 while staying in Toronto. Where in Toronto? The Lakeshore Motel

On another note, I last wrote about the Toronto Motorcycle Film Festival.  It was a wonderful affair and the Fast Forward exhibit was something to behold.  It even included a replica of Peter Fonda’s Captain America motorcycle from EasyRider. I am proud to announce that Sleeping Around in America is with the publishers and editors now.  To celebrate this little milestone, I would like to share with you an excerpt from the book. Traverse Magazine has published a chapter in the latest edition of their magazine. This should give you an example of what you can experience when you check in to Kate’s Lazy Meadow Motel in the Catskills and a taste of what you can expect.

If you enjoy motorcycles, travel and culture (which I know you do), you may wish to subscribe to Traverse Magazine.  Subscription to the digital edition is free and you can claim yours here!

      Hi Glenn,

I have settled on a new version of what I was riding. So now I am riding the BMW F800GT. It handles brilliantly, great for city riding and perfect for touring.

      Best,
      Andrew
